Jibardi Muku means ‘All the women’.
This painting is about women coming together. In August 2022, I was invited to a workshop in Mparntwe that was about Black women in business that was run by NTIBN.
I went with the intention to learn more about how to run a business but left deeply inspired to do more. There were so many empowering black women in that room that all radiated strength and resilience. Like myself, they are women born and raised in the NT, who are making a difference by building their own businesses from the ground up.
We are using our own lived experiences of being Aboriginal women to ignite our drive to make impactful changes in our communities.
